Pamper Me

I am SO ready for the weekend to be here...like, NOW!

It's crazy but I have no plans set in stone...a first in a LONG time.
Usually weekends are super packed traveling somewhere and doing stuff all day long with no breaks...

Not this weekend!

I plan to *pamper myself*

That's right, I am gonna take it easy, watch tv and movies, possibly weed my garden (cuz the weeds MIGHT be taller than the plants) and I plan to take a bubble bath and read my book or listen to soothing music.

I think it' s about time.

I feel like my life is on constant fast forward speed, but I think I may just push pause this weekend and recharge the batteries a bit.

What's your weekend looking like?

Weekend recap

So remember this post?

Yea, we were pretty darn busy all weekend...not to mention that I stayed home not feeling so well on Thursday and Friday!

The wedding we went to on Friday night was one I have never experienced before. Our neighbors (who are Indian) invited us to their daughters wedding...technically...they had married the day before and this was a part in a long process of partying. There must have easily been over 400 invited and everyone was elaborately dressed. It was very neat to see the cultural traditions, although I heard we missed out on the "shoe" bargaining later on that evening.

Saturday turned out to be a bit rainy, but overall we had a wonderful time at Lake Monticello celebrating an engagement of some lovely friends. Tons of food, boat rides, water things...you name it. And naturally we stayed WAY past the end time (til about 9pm). But it was a blast!

Sunday, well, we unfortunately didn't make it out to see Colbie Caillat at Busch Gardens (bummer)...but we did end up going to see Harry Potter Part 2 in the afternoon (to beat the nasty heat!). It was also great to use out LivingSocial deal! We both got to watch the movie for ONLY $9!! (instead of about $18 for us both!)...naturally we made up for this fact and bought popcorn, drink AND Sour Patch kids (YUMMMM!)

I am hoping to settle down a bit and get geared up for this coming weekend...sadly a dear friend leaves to move to ATL with her hubby and another friend is moving into another place close by...moving out and tearful goodbyes!

Then, holy crap, it's August?!? Where does time go?

Promise-I'm still here!

How to even begin?

Things have been crazy hectic since coming home from London. Trying to get back on the right time/sleep schedule and having tons of work to get done (and extra work from the head honcho) before my supervisor returns next week...not to mention weekends filled with activities and non-stop stuff!

So, first of all, sorry for not posting anything in over a week (I hate that I haven't had time).

I will do my best to be better and share really fun and interesting things!!

This weekend is jammed packed!
1) Wedding on Friday night
2) Engagement party all afternoon on Saturday

and if we can muster the energy...
3) go to Busch Gardens Sunday to hear Colbie Caillat in concert!! (It's basically the only time she is touring on the East Coast and one of her songs was our 1st dance song at our wedding over a year ago...) if you haven't heard of her, please check her out-she's kinda amazing!

London Trip...in a nutshell

So, we made it back safely from our week trip to London (WAY too short of a trip!)

I could easily blab on for pages about everything we did and saw, so instead, I will use pictures!!
(HOORAY!)

First, some of our sightseeing (in Panorama form thanks to my husband!)

Hampton Court Palace Gardens

Outside of London Tower

The Globe Theatre

Royal Festival Hall (for the graduation ceremony)
Me, Mike, Alec, Laura and mom and dad for Laura's graduation!

Changing of the guard at London Tower (specifically where the Crown Jewels are kept)

Westminster Abbey

The boys (Mike and his dad) were set up to drive sports cars for an afternoon, Here is Mike standing by the Aston Martin...he also drove a Ferrari and Lamborghini...he may have been in car heaven here!

Buckingham Palace

Big Ben

St. Paul's Cathedral

This tid bit of pictures doesn't even come close to how many places we went to and saw and everything we did (we got close to 1,000 pics and went to SO many places!)

I had a wonderful time there and would love to go back soon!
Lucky for me, my sister-in-law lives there so I can always crash on a couch, right?!?
